I hate the fact that I need to pay double for my air ticket because of urgent notice to fly to hometown.
Well that happens if your mom and sister think it’s not important to tell you that your sister gonna move for good to the other side of the earth, until a few weeks before. Why am I need to be involve in this? I’m in between wondering why I volunteer to still coming to see her for the last time and feeling angry to myself, and knowing I’ll feel guilty if I don’t.
Sigh, just need to rant for a moment.
I’m really glad I sacrificed my weekend sleep to volunteer tutoring special needs kids, not a serious autistic case but they are just a bit slower than most kids. I appreciate how they were kind to each others and the volunteers, how they had fun with each other and didn’t bully anyone weaker, and how the school prepare them to merge with society. Am looking forward to do this next time after they’re taking break for term holiday.
Finished the morning with authentic Japanese cuisine, and now moving onward to prepare sandwiches for picnic and open concert later in evening.
Think life is the best when we go out of ourselves and think about others, despite my little thought to get a Polaroid camera for myself (* grin).
Post holiday syndrome and some triggered abandonment gave me Monday blues. Cure was listening to Faithfully by Journey over and over again in many versions; original, new one with Arnel Pineda as vocalist, Tony Vincent and Justin Hopkins from The Voice, Boyce Avenue and Glee. Am loving the Glee version, repeating it alternately with the original. That happens for 4-5 hours, pretty much a record of listening 1 particular song for me. I was even tearing for a moment when I listen to the 2 family men battling for The Voice. I ended up checking Glee songs to close my day.
Sometimes it feels good doing weird things without the need of asking why I am doing it. It’s just a channel of a tired heart.
Lose your identity and be a citizen of the world
Walk the interesting alley that tickles your curiosity (when it looks safe enough of course)
Make new friends
Learn.. Local custom, a little bit of slang, anything good around. That’s what make good memories
Try something new, you can only know you don’t like it after you try
Spend time to enjoy the surroundings, don’t rush
Camera can take beautiful shots of views, unique things you like but don’t wanna buy, people and new friends.
A Polaroid can win any kid’s heart when you tell them to blow their own face out of the black/white sheet
Volunteer. It doubles the memories and friendship with all the good things you do with and for the locals
Put flowers on your hair when you see or being offered one
Being pretty and comfortable is possible with all the traveling knick-knacks
Bible verses about the beauty of God’s creation feels more alive when you read them while looking at autumn colored trees and waterfalls with rainbows at the bottom
Create personal cards using the photos you take, and write it for your new friends
Embrace the history, travel is not just for shopping/sightseeing
Food, is still the main attraction of each trip
You can travel in your own city. It’s very practical for weekend and there’s always a new part you will discover
I enjoy my alone time on weekend reading The Help in a nostalgic place where there’s no crowd. Only the wind, bird chirping, distant traffic noise and a guy strumming his guitar enjoying himself. I may even take a nap soon..
Just learned posting multiple pics from iphone to tumblr :D
Used to think there is no way to post multiple pics from phone to tumblr and it’s pretty annoying coz I don’t open my computer a lot when I reach home and pretty tired, and I end up forgetting it or collage them into 1 pic before uploading it.
- Go to your personal blog by clicking the blog name at the upper right of screen next to dashboard
- Go to “Blog Settings” on the right side
- At the row “Post by email”, find the personal email address assigned by tumblr for your blog, click reset if the email address doesn’t work.
I did all above in my computer coz it’s just easier, not sure about iphone
- At iphone camera roll, tap the arrow sign (share tool) on upper right corner - done in iOS 5, and choose the pics to share
- Share thru email to the personal address given by tumblr
- Voila, multiple photo post uploaded from phone. I found that the subject written in email is not shown in the tumblr post title but whatever written inside the email will be shown on the post as photo description.
